JGRE Supported Studies

The JGRE has supported or sponsored the following studies and assessments. When associated reports or presentations are released, they will be linked accordingly.

Robotics Interoperability Standards Analysis Report - Assess ongoing Unmanned Systems standardization activities and recommend a DoD Unmanned Systems standardization strategy to support improved interoperability, safety, and cost reduction.

Global Capabilities and Trends in Military Ground Robotics - The purpose of the effort is to provide the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, an assessment of international R&D efforts in ground robotics.

Unmanned Ground Vehicle Industrial Capability Assessment - This assessment will support an overall analysis of the short and long term ability of the U.S. industrial base to support the production of UGV systems to meet current and emerging DoD requirements.

Spectrum Crowding Definition - Provide a comprehensive review of the spectrum requirements and factors impacting the communications links of existing unmanned ground systems and those under development.

Common Unmanned Ground Vehicle Robotic Controller Study - Identify characteristics and definitions of robot controllers and architectures considering current systems for robotic control, operational implications, future growth and needs, and technological paths forward.

International Unmanned Systems Capabilities and Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Tool Suites - Characterize the broad ground robotic technology development areas being pursued by US international partners, identify potential areas of collaboration, provide an assessment of the current state of Modeling and Simulation tools used to support ground robotics technology development and identify opportunities in which Modeling and Simulation can be advanced to provide greater support to ground robotics development.
